Privacy Policy
What information Writadia collects, why, and what control you have over it.
Updated 3 Nov 2026
This policy explains how Writadia handles information when you use the website. We have designed the site to collect as little personal information as possible.
Who is responsible
The website is run by Berkay Gürgen (Carpinus English), who is the data controller for the information described below. You can contact us at info@writadia.com or through the contact page.
No accounts
You can use every part of Writadia without creating an account or giving your name.
Your drafts and settings stay on your device
When you write on a task page, your text is saved in your own browser (using "local storage"), so you can come back to it later. The same applies to your settings (theme, text size, role) and the tasks you mark as done. This information is not sent to our server. You can delete it at any time on the Settings page or by clearing your browser data.
Visitor statistics
To understand which pages are useful, we count page views on our own server, without cookies and without third-party analytics tools. For each visit we record:
- the page address and, if available, the website that linked to it
- the type of device (phone, tablet or computer)
- the interface language and the role you selected (student or teacher), if any
- an anonymous code that changes every day
The anonymous code is created from your IP address, browser information and a secret value, then shortened. We do not store your IP address, and the code cannot be used to identify you or to follow you from one day to the next. We also count some anonymous actions, such as printing a task or using the text check.
The contact form
If you send us a message, we store your name, email address and message so that we can reply. We keep messages for as long as needed to answer and follow up, and for no more than two years. We never use your email address for marketing.
Cookies
The site itself uses only two small functional cookies, and only if you change the related setting: one to remember your interface language and one to remember your role. See the Cookie Policy.
Advertising
The site may show advertising provided by Google AdSense. When advertising is active, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and measure their performance. Where the law requires it (for example, in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), you will be asked for your consent first, and you can change your choice at any time. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can manage personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com.
Hosting
Like every website, our hosting provider keeps short-term technical server logs (for example, for security). These are handled by the provider under its own policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or KVKK in Türkiye), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to its use. Since we store very little, the main information we can provide is any message you sent us. To make a request, contact us at info@writadia.com.
Children
The site is designed for learners of all ages and does not ask for personal information. Younger students should use the contact form only with the help of a parent or teacher.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
